Strong Families

High-quality early childhood programs can improve outcomes for both children and their families.

Working Parents

Parents who have access to safe, reliable care for their children are better able to enter the workforce, pursue higher education and job training, and boost their earnings. An increase in family income can, in turn, improve both short- and long-term outcomes for children.

Engaged Families

Whole families benefit from high-quality programs that improve child health, support parents, and provide care and education to young children. Parenting programs can increase parent confidence, reduce stress, improve parenting practices, prevent abuse and neglect, and promote adult and family literacy. Additionally, programs that focus equally and intentionally on services and opportunities for parents and children 鈥 called Two Generation or 鈥2Gen鈥 strategies 鈥 move whole families toward educational success, economic security, and overall well-being.
