Evidence Based

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a voluntary early childhood development program offering research-based curricula that help families raise children to be healthy, safe, learning, and ready for school.

This program is designed for parents and caregivers with children age 0-5.

How It Works

PAT services include personal visits from a parent educator at least twice monthly; monthly group connections with other PAT families; screenings and assessments to identify developmental concerns; and connections to outside resources that families may need to succeed.

Target Outcomes

PAT aims to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development and improve parenting practices; provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues; prevent child abuse and neglect, and increase children's school readiness and school success.
